Spinal Decompression Therapy is the non-surgical treatment of common complaints of the spine, typically neck pain, back pain and disc injuries.

Using a specially adapted treatment bench, gentle and repetitive pressure is applied to the damaged intervertebral disc or spinal problem to reduce the pressure on the spinal nerve causing the pain. This gentle movement helps the disc to heal or releases the restricted joint providing long term relief to painful problems.

Unlike other forms of back care there is no manipulation or twisting involved in this treatment making it suitable for patients that don't respond well to treatment like chiropractic adjustments or physiotherapy.

The treatment benches are set up to precisely target the problem area whilst the patient lies on the bench, generally lying on their back. It is a very controlled and comfortable treatment even when the problem is very painful.

Spinal Decompression Therapy is accompanied with lifestyle advice and advice on exercises with the aim of restoring normal spinal health and function.
